About Us

Maven Grey is a queer, Latina living in Texas who has loved horror from the time she could sneak out of her room and watch Tales from the Crypt from behind the couch in the 90s. Raised on gore and ghosts, she now spends her time dreaming up more despicable worlds, emotionally and morally messy characters, and fear that invades the mind like a parasite than she’ll ever be able to write.

When Maven’s not writing, she can be found attempting to make a 1 to 1 swap of coffee for her own blood, watching Scream marathons on repeat, reconnecting with her heritage and culture or jotting down the next idea in that growing list of plots she’ll definitely never have enough time to write. She shares her life with Mr. Grey, the Mini Greys, her best friend B and B’s Beard, and her beloved fur babies and grand fur baby.

Maven believes in and actively fights for Trans Rights, Black Lives Matter, reminding everyone that no one is illegal on stolen land and the real monsters aren’t the ones on the pages she writes but the ones stealing freedoms from those around us every day.
